The Story
The Braided Brocade is a Liberty print inspired by woven trims and a military brocade – an adornment which was common on the jackets Redfern introduced to the world of fashion. The design was created with an amalgamation of textured yarn wraps and a woven trim by Central Saint Martins' student Taslima Sultana. Taslima expresses her ideas using texture, colour and pattern, and recently won the Texprint 'Colour Award' at Premier Vision.
